RAMEN
A Symbol of Japanese Culture
More than just noodles — ramen is a way of life in Japan.
Originally brought over from China in the early 1900s, ramen has evolved into a cornerstone of Japanese cuisine, blending local flavors with international influence.
Across Japan, every region has its own style — shoyu (soy sauce), miso, tonkotsu (pork broth), or shio (salt-based) — each telling its own story through taste.
Every bowl starts with four essentials:
-
A tare, the concentrated seasoning base
-
A homemade broth, slowly simmered to perfection
-
The noodles, straight or curly, thick or thin
-
The toppings, from chashu pork to soft-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, or seaweed
Then comes the chef’s personal touch — that unique signature that turns a good ramen into a memorable one.
